If you've visited our downtown park lately, we hope you've noticed a beautiful new addition — the elegant pergola now covering the stage at 304 Society Garden! Not only does it add charm and shade to the performance area, but it also represents the dedication and hard work of a remarkable young community member.

This project was brought to life by Eagle Scout candidate Liam Tipps, who chose the pergola as his Eagle Scout service project. From start to finish, Liam led every aspect of the project — from the initial design and planning to fundraising for materials, recruiting volunteers, and overseeing construction.

His leadership and commitment are evident in every detail of the structure. The pergola not only enhances the park’s aesthetic appeal but also provides a more comfortable experience for both performers and audiences alike. Whether you're attending a concert, a community event, or simply enjoying a quiet day at the park, the pergola creates a welcoming and functional focal point.
