2026 Tales from the Altamaha
This spring, Lyons once again welcomed audiences to one of our most meaningful and anticipated traditions—Tales from the Altamaha.
This year’s production, Raftin’ the Waters & Wanderin’ the Banks, brought the stories of our region to life through powerful storytelling, music, and performance. Each scene reflected the rich history and culture of the Altamaha, creating an experience that was both entertaining and deeply rooted in our community.
From opening night to the final performance, the energy in the room was something special. The cast and crew delivered an outstanding production, showcasing months of dedication, creativity, and hard work. Audiences showed up in a big way, and their support helped make this year’s run a true success.
What makes Tales from the Altamaha so unique is its connection to the people and stories of our area. Raftin’ the Waters & Wanderin’ the Banks continued that tradition, reminding us of the importance of preserving and sharing the stories that shape our community.
Lyons Main Street would like to extend a sincere thank you to the cast, crew, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who attended. Your support is what allows this tradition to continue year after year.
We are proud to celebrate another successful season of Tales from the Altamaha and look forward to what’s ahead.
